Lily`s Patio

This project transforms a very small patio into an outdoor lounge — conceived as a natural continuation of the ground floor rooms. As the space was too limited to function as a traditional garden, it was designed instead as an enclosed, inhabitable outdoor room. Built-in benches define the edges and create a sense of permanence and use. At the far end, a bench with a high backrest forms a visual backdrop to all rooms at the ground floor, drawing the eye through the space. The high backrest is composed of tiles cut on site to create an abstract tree pattern, using tones of green and gold that subtly recall the changing colours of leaves through the seasons.
